Trevor Hinton
Marbling is the equivalent of graining on wood. The idea is to make a cheaper material look like marble, and the art of marbling has been around for many years. This is common on table tops and within Churches.
• I can reproduce the look of real marble and stone
• I can paint using scumble replicas of marble for inlays, table
tops, pillars, etc.
• These also can be aged and patinated according to the requirements
or matched in to existing paintwork or wood. Green and white is a big
favourite
• I have also painted shop fronts to match surrounding stonework,
country furniture
and folk art.
• I specialise in the repair of this kind of furniture, especially
painted pieces of all sizes, and can match the age, patination and texture
and colour, sometimes using handmade milk paints but depending on the
customer’s desires
