The importance of colour matching
Matching the colour of a piece is key to the success of the repair or
renovation. It is essential that care is taken to blend in the new pieces
carefully, so that it is impossible to notice any difference between the
repair and the original.
How I use colour matching
• I match in any wood as closely as possible and then using light-fast
oil or pigment stains colour in to the rest of the furniture
• In painted furniture I mix paints and hand match to existing colours
• I make and use milk paint.
